Q. Is AMA membership required to ride your event?
A. Bear Creek Sportsmen is an AMA sanctioned riding club. If the event that we are running requires an AMA membership we need to abide by their rules. AMA memberships can be purchased on line from the AMA website www.americanmotorcyclist.com or we will be selling them at any event that requires AMA. While AMA membership might not be required at all of our events we strongly urge everyone to become a member of the AMA.
Q. I see pay pal as the choice for your online sign up, I don’t have a pay pal account can I still use online signup?
A. You do not need a pay pal account to use their services. Just select you preferred payment method instead of the option to use pay pal.
Q. Are there any rules I need to follow at your events?
A. While at any of our events, please be respectful or the land and other people and their property. Helmets MUST be worn at all times when you are riding a motorcycle or atv even if you are riding at a slow speed. Pay attention to those riding around you. Full riding gear is always recommended for safety sake.
Q. Where can I stay if I decide to come to the Quarry Run?
A. Visit the Hancock chamber of commerce page for lodging near Hancock. Camping is allowed at the firemens field. A small Camping fee may be charged, but it will be advertised.
Q. What do I do with my garbage?
A. Please pick up your trash. There are dumpsters located at the Firemans Field to dispose of your garbage if you do not want to take it with you.
Q. Do you cancel events because of the weather?
A. All of our events are held rain or shine, refunds are not given on pre-paid entries.
Q. I want to sign up online, can I get a refund if I change my mind?
A. We do not issue refunds for pre-paid entries.

Q. I don’t want to participate in the event, can I just ride the trails?
A. The trails are only open to registered riders of the event. If you are caught riding on any of the trails without registering you will be forced to leave.
Q. I have a few free weekends, can I come up and ride the trails again?
A. Any land that we acquire for an event is only open for riding during that specific event. All of our land is privately owned and we do not have permission to ride anytime other than the event dates. If you return to ride any other times during the year we will not be allowed to have future events.
Q. Do I need a working headlight and tail light?
A. YES as per New York state law.
Q. Does my bike need to be registered?
A. YES as per New York state law.
Q. Does the rider need to be 18
A. YES
Q. Do I need new tires?
A. You do not NEED new tires but it is highly recommended.

When moving about in the pit area or riding to/from the start line please stay in first gear Full riding gear is always recommended for safety sake.

A. The Bear Creek property is only open to riding during our public event.

A. Our trail system is only open during the spring trail ride. You are not allowed to ride in areas not clearly marked for the event.

Q. Are there age limits for riders?
A. There are no age limits for riders of the Kuggamugga or Bear Creek Blast. Any rider under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian fill out a minor release form before they can ride.
Q. You guys have a great motocross track. Can I ride the track during the Kuggamugga Trail Ride or any other time of year?
A. The Motocross Track is closed during the Kuggamugga Trail Ride. The only time the track is open to the public is during the Bear Creek Blast Vintage Motocross.
Q. Can I ride my ATV during events?
A.Sorry but no, The Kuggamugga Trail Ride and Bear Creek Blast are only open to motorcycles. We please ask everyone to not ride their ATV's around the property during these events for safty reasons.
Q. Where can I find the results of your events?
A. Our event results can be found posted near the sign up table after the event is over. We do not post our results online because we feel if you had fun thats all that matters.
